Mit nachgeschärftem Design und größeren Abmessungen erschien 2008 eine neue Generation des Honda Accord. Wie bereits beim Vorgänger konnte der Japaner nur als Fließhecklimousine oder als Kombi (Tourer) geordert werden. Ebenfalls vom Vorgänger übernommen wurden die reichhaltige Serienausstattung und das Motorenprogramm. Dieses war überarbeitet worden und umfasste Benziner mit einer Leistung von 156 bis 201 PS, die Selbstzünder leisteten wahlweise 150 oder 180 PS.
